White water rafting on the Arkansas River or one of Colorado’s other magnificent rivers with Arkansas River Tours will be the highlight of your family vacation! The Arkansas River, a short trip from Colorado Springs or Denver, provides several options for your river rafting adventure. Family Class whitewater awaits you in Bighorn Canyon located close to other attractions such as the world famous Royal Gorge Bridge in Canon City. Extreme Adventure Class whitewater of the Royal Gorge thrills even the most avid rafter. The Royal Gorge is great for challenging rafting as it plunges 65 feet per mile through one of Colorado’s most dramatic gorges. Additional Family Class whitewater in Brown’s Canyon is available to visitors in the Salida or Buena Vista area, which is the home of many of Colorado’s 14,000 foot peaks. We combine these sections for 2 or 3 day trips. Choose a quick trip as part of your vacation itinerary or make a multi-day trip the focus of your visit to Colorado’s whitewater playground. An 8% Colorado State Park use fee and access fee must be added to all Arkansas River trips.
