In partnership with the historic Royal Gorge Route Railroad, we are offering a combination of a scenic train ride through the Royal Gorge with a ½ day Bighorn Sheep Canyon whitewater rafting trip. Fun for the whole family! Enjoy a 10 mile rafting trip through several exciting Class III and IV rapids like 3 Rocks, Spikebuck and Shark's Tooth in the morning. After a hearty riverside lunch you will board the Royal Gorge Route train for a spectacular 12 mile train ride through the world famous Royal Gorge. This

train ride follows the Arkansas River as it carves through a 1000 foot deep gorge.

MEETING PLACE: We will meet guests traveling from points east of Canon City at the Santa Fe Depot at 401 Water Street in Canon City. Take U.S. Highway 50 (Royal Gorge Blvd.) to 3rd Street and turn south to the Depot.  You will meet an Arkansas River Tours van or bus outside of the main entrance of the Depot. We will then take you to the river put-in where you will meet your river guides. They will outfit you with life jackets and give you a safety orientation before beginning your rafting trip. After the conclusion of your rafting trip we will serve you lunch and escort you to the train at Parkdale. The trip concludes at the Santa Fe Depot where we met you in the morning.

Meeting Time is 9:30 am.

WHAT TO BRING: You will wear river attire when we pick you up at the Depot and you should bring a change of clothes for the train ride.  A changing facility and bathrooms are available before and after your rafting trip.  Take cash for snacks or drinks on the train and for guide gratuities if you wish.

COSTS: $ 92 Adults, $ 77 Youth (8-12 years old)  Coach class - access to open-air cars.
